Senior Sales Executive
Job Description
We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our pharmaceutical sales team. This role will focus on institutional and bulk sales, requiring strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and mentoring junior sales staff.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets for institutional and bulk products.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare institutions, hospitals, and purchasing organizations to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting performance against targets and market insights.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with institutional clients to secure profitable sales agreements.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to junior sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement in products and services, and communicate this feedback to relevant internal teams.
This position may require travel to meet with clients and attend industry conferences. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential. By filling this role, the Senior Sales Executive will play a vital role in driving the company's growth in the pharmaceutical sector, particularly in institutional and bulk sales.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a focus on institutional and bulk sales, is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
- Certification: Professional certification such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP) is advantageous.
- Networking: Established network of contacts within healthcare institutions.
